History
The congregation was established on June 13, 1913 by Romanian immigrants in Philadelphia. Services were first held in a society hall, and from 1919 at St. John's Episcopal Church.
In 1965, the majority of the parish council and membership decided to relocate the parish to the suburb of Elkins Park, where a modified Gothic-style church was purchased. The church was consecrated on September 26, 1965 by Archbishop Valerian Trifa.
Today the parish numbers about 100 families and continues to be a beacon of faith and Romanian heritage for the greater Philadelphia community.
